Without our health, we cannot grow into our dreams…

I am in the process of writing a new book which will be about making sure the workplace catches up with the new realities of a work environment.
The title is BOLD:
Screw the Manager – Be a Leader
Employees work longer than ever and have changed their perspective but many environments are archaic and cannot relate to the employee. As a manager, you must create an environment of growth and wellness for your employees and you will be vastly rewarded with increased productivity, respect from your team and less stress at work that leads to a happy workplace.
Over the years, I have seen organization after organization and team after team develop into works of art. As a society we spend most of our day at work part of an organization or part of a team. We spend more time with our co-workers than our family earning a living for those we love. This book was written to help managers development amazing work environments. If you spend more time with your co-workers than you do your family, should you not really enjoy your team and workplace? If you spend more time at work than you do at home, should you not provide yourself and those around with a great environment for growth?
The trends indicate that people work longer hours and are tied closer to the workplace today more than ever. I believe a workplace must adapt to those trends and provide employees with an environment of growth and an environment of wellness. Without our health, we cannot grow into our dreams. Wellness is key to all growth and this is why I focus on developing great work environments that are focused on workplace wellness. This book will help you develop great teams, workplace environment that promote growth and workplace environments that focus on wellness as a tool for growth.
This book will provide you with great information and tools to help you take action. A good friend of mine always says, “if success were just about information, every librarian would be a multi-millionaire.” It’s about becoming aware of new possibilities and taking action on great information. I salute you for taking the first step and reading this blog.
As senior management of a multitude of organizations, teams and projects for the last five years, I’ve always made sure to pay special attention to my leadership and the leadership of my managers.
We’ve done things differently. We paid attention to the need of our employees, we were sensitive to their family life and as a result we were rewarded with high performance workers who actively participated in the company’s drive for success.
I urge all senior executive, senior managers, team leaders, project managers and even first line supervisors to stop and think about your management practices.
If you’re employees or direct subordinates aren’t performing, consider that we live in a world of cause and effect meaning that’s the effect… now consider the cause.
I hate to say it but it’s true. The cause if your management ability and the way you’ve handled your employees…
As an owner, partner, manager, supervisor, you have the power to make a difference.
